"Lord I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds O Lord. Renew them in our day. In our time make them known. In wrath remember mercy." (Hab 3 v 2)

This is the prayer of Habakkuk which I am praying over and over as I walk around the church hall. It is a powerful prayer, full of meaning, 5 short sentences to meditate upon. A cry for God to come to our nation, to our church, to our workplace, to our family. Even though we deserve wrath because of our sin, we look for God's mercy to forgive and restore. What do you hear from the words of this prayer?
